Kyrgyzstan with its mountain rivers is an excellent place for those who like fishing. Our rivers are full of different kind of fish, like amudarya trout (slmo trutta oxianus kessler), schizothorax intermedius McLelland, diptychus maculatus berg (osman), rainbow trout (salmo gairdneri rich). Neither you skillful fisherman or not, you will get unforgettable excitement of fishing in mountain rivers of Tien-Shan. Our firm can organize fishing tours on next rivers of Kyrgyzstan.
The Red River
Duration:    1-2 days
Season:       Spring, Autumn
One of most picturesque areas of unspoiled wild beauty in Chui Valley, Red River, is located 60 kms from Bishkek. Red River originates as several springs located not far from Tokmak, and flows, intricately winding among cane and bushes, with lots of magnificent places ideal for fishing. Rainbow trout (Salmon gairdneri Rich) is the predominant specie in the river, usually of 20 - 25 cm (8 - 10 inch) long or larger, and weight of 1-2 kg (2-4 pounds). The largest trout caught here was 7 kg (15 pounds).
Susamyr River
Duration:    2-3 days
Season:     15.04-15.06
Susamyr River is 80 km long, originating in the Ala Bel Pass (3184 m) and proceeding down the Susamyr Valley in order to merge with Western Karakol River to become Kekemeren River. Diptychus maculatus Berg, its local name being Osman, is a predominant fish specie. It is a typical inhabitant of Alpine rivers of Tien-Shan. Osman lives in the rivers higher than 1500 m above the sea level only. Osman eats algae and larvae of water and air insects. Its maximum size is 50 cm and it weights up to 3 kg.
Kekemeren River
Duration:    3-4 days
Season:     15.04-15.06
Kekemeren River is formed by a confluence of Susamyr and Western Karakol, runs for 200 km amid valleys of Inner Tien-Shan and flows into Naryn River. The most preferable time for fishing on Kekemeren is spring, when the water level increases and when intensive development of water insects' larvae occurs. Caddis fly larvae at the end of its water phase of development is the basic food for all kinds of fish living in the river, as well as the best bait at this time. Trout actively bites on spoon-bite or on fry. In autumn trout also bites nicely on fry and spoon-bite, and Schizothorax, on grasshoppers.
Chon-Kemin River
Duration:    2 - 4 days
Season:      Mach - September
Chon-Kemin river is the main tributary of Chu River. It take its way in glaciers of Kungey-Too and Zailiyskiy Altau Ranges and flows between them more that hundred kilometers to the West. Amudarya trout is predominates in Chon-Kemin River. Sometimes it is mixes up with Issyk-Kul trout. The maximum weigh of trout reaches 5 kilograms. There is a bit of rather big (1 kg) representatives of Issyk-Kul trout and Chuy Osman.

Program: Fishing Tour

Day 1. Arrive to Bishkek. Hotel accommodation. Excursion around the city.
Day 2.Transfer (120km) to Shamsi gorge that is situated in Kyrgyz range. It is very picturesque gorge, its slopes covered with forest. There tourists can fish rainbow trout. Night in tents.
Day 3. Fishing in the morning and then transfer to Tamga village that is situated at Issyk-Kul Lake. Accommodation in guesthouse.
Day 4.Rest in Tamga. Walking to the lake. After lunch - transfer (130km) to Kochkorka village and further to Ukek valley. There are a lot of fish but of not very big size. By request we can make a short hiking (1,5-2 hours) to lake Kel-Ukek, which is situated in the upper reaches of the Ukek River.
Day 5.Fishing on Ukek River.
Days 6,7,8. Transfer (70km) to the upper reaches of Eastern Seok River that flows in Seok gorge. It is situated to the South from Kochkorka village. People rarely visit this gorge. It's better to spend there 2 days because there are a lot of big trout dwells (up to 3-4 kilograms).
Days 9,10,11,12.Fishing in Kekemeren River. Transfer (160km) along Djumgal valley and over Kyz-Art pass to the Valley of Kekemeren River. Near by Min-Kush village we are establishing our camp. There begins an excellent fishing. Here it's possible to catch 3 kinds of fish. Standart weight of fish is 1,5-2 kilograms. Every next day going up along Kokomeren River we will get Suusamyr valley (Day 12.) and establish the last camp in Valley of Western Karakol River.
Day 13.Transfer from Susamyr valley to Bishkek.
Day 14.Returning home.
