Program: Around the Issyk-Kul Valley 1

Issyk-Kul Lake is a soul of Kyrgyzstan. If you saw it ones you would wish to see it again and again. Issyk-Kul valley is a unique place, on a small territory climate there changes from the desert to damp continental climate. In the beginning of the valley there is a desert; rainfall amount in this region not more than 100 mm a year. Then, moving further to the valley we can see that climate getting softer and damper. So in the opposite side of the valley in Karakol town climate is damp continental. From Kyrgyz language Issyk-Kul is “ hot lake” from the ancient times it was called this way because it never freezes. Issyk-Kul is the second biggest lake in the world (after Titikaka Lake in South Amerika). This mountainous lake is situated at 1609m above sea level. The second interesting place, we visit, is Kara-Kul Lake, which is situated in 12,5 km from the main road Balykchi - Karakol along the south shore of Issyk-Kul lake. Our way goes along Ak-Terek River towards to Ordo-Kuchar creek (9 km) and then along lakeside of Issyk-Kul lake (3,5 km). Kara-Kul Lake is located on 1628 m above sea level, length - 700m, width - 400m, at 300 m distance from Issyk- Kul Lake and it is fenced from Issyk-Kul Lake by beach. Kara-Kul looks like Dead Sea in Israel, it’s water is bitter-salt and possesses medicinal quality, because there are a lot of hot mineral hot springs at the bottom of lake and you can lie on the surface supine motionless. View of the lake and area around it look picturesque, flora of it looks like desert vegetation. There are plenty of wild ducks flying around the lake and live there. We can see very beautiful view from this place to the top of Terskey Ala-Too range. This tour will show you one of the best places of Kyrgyzstan, our nature and shepherd’s life.
